Had a really beautiful day today! Met Peter and Hannah for lunch in the Auteuil area of the 16th…lot’s of beautiful buildings and good restaurants. We ate at L’Auberge du Mouton Blanc, where I decided to be adventurous and order steak tartare. Fun fact: steak tartare is just raw minced meat, raw egg, onions, capers, and Worcestershire sauce. It was definitely interesting…I liked the taste a lot, it was just a little difficult to get past the fact that I was basically just eating mushy raw meat.
Afterwards, we decided to walk around the neighborhood and stumbled across a wooded path garden-type thing and took a walk through it…it was so pretty with the sunlight and the fall-colored leaves everywhere. Afterwards, we found one of my favorite bakeries, Desgranges and got some delicious pastries. We kept walking and eventually found ourselves at the Allée des Cygnes, a sort of island park in the middle of the Seine that connects the Pont du Grenelle and the Pont Bir Hakeim, where the french Statue de la Liberté is. It was such a clear day and the sun was setting over the Seine and it was just so beautiful!
